Node projects run slow

Visual Studio runs really slow with node projects. For example, right-clicking on the project name in the solution explorer takes several seconds for the menu to pop-up. Memory usage is also pretty high in a node project. If I convert on of my node project to just a regular ASP.NET Web application, my memory usage is almost reduced by half.

At first I thought ReSharper might be problem, but I disabled it with no changes.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing troubles with the 1.0 Beta. We have fixed a number of performance issues since Beta and are working to reduce our memory usage. I'd like to ensure we look into your problem as well. Are you seeing this for a particular type of NTVS project or on all of them? Additionally can you share your machine configuration, # of CPUs and amount of RAM.

I've only worked on Blank Node.js Web Applications (TypeScript), so I'm not sure about the other type of projects.

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro on one i7 quad core/8 threads @ 2.4Ghz with 32 GB RAM.
