Using a gruntfile as a starting file

Nov 27, 2013 at 3:37 AM
Hey guys,

So, this may be a n00b question, quite possibly because I'm a n00b at this...

When I import existing node.js into a new solution, it asks me to set the startup file - I can do so with the server.js - but realistically I'd want to run the gruntfile.js with all the minification/less building/etc code.

Is this a case of needing to wait for the pre-build commands mentioned in previous discussion?

We also had a similar request come in through the Red Gate facebook page:

Garry Peter Lee Taylor:
Wonder if we can get the debugger in visual studio to link into process hitched from grunt? Ps had a quick look and its assume!

Could you describe which steps have to be made to achieve such a debugging (based on a gruntfile.js)?

I would also like to see a way to run via gruntfile.js.
