Do we have the nodejs template for Visual Studio on VS 14 ?
Is this in pipeline ?
When can we expect this ?

Supporting VS 14 is something we plan to do. However doing so requires engineering work which requires resources. Freeing up a resource would mean something for 1.0 doesn't get done. Currently 1.0 is the priority.

@RickWinter,

I hope VS 14 will be supported soon, because for people who have bought into NTVS this is a real problem: we want to keep up with new versions of VS but if NTVS doesn't work then we're stuck, because NTVS is a core component in our development work.

+1 especially given we have support for azure tools and other project extension types already in vstudio 2015 [ / dev14 ] that make using the latest ctp drop full time in lieu of vstudio 2013 [ / dev12 ] possible.

On related note anyone got a story for enabling node angular protractor end2end tests selenium webdriver-manager dependency without having to install Java runtime on my windows workstation?

+1 Is there that much effort? I mean, has the VS SDK changed that much?

Apparently they're working on it: https://nodejstools.codeplex.com/workitem/1414

Some new TypeScript stuff is only available on VS 2015 Preview: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/typescript/archive/2014/11/12/announcing-typescript-1-3.aspx

@RickWinter,

Is there an updated build for VS 2015? The last release was 14-November.

There is also a critical issue Go to definition fails to work in Visual Studio 2015 that is preventing us from migrating to VS 2015.

Any idea when you are able to release a fix for this?

Thanks.
