Impossible to create project

Jan 3, 2014 at 8:45 AM
I just downloaded the Node.js tools for Visual Studio
However, I run into trouble when I tried to create a new project (from existing code, blank console application, blank web application). It is just impossible to create one.
Visual Studio throw always the exception : Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I try many things (reinstallating Visual Studio, the add on etc ….)

Any idea why ?

Thank you

Someone else reported problem when creating a new project: https://nodejstools.codeplex.com/workitem/590

Can you let us know more about your configuration? VS 2012 or VS 2013? If VS 2012, are you on Update 4? Which version+platform of Node.js? Which build of NTVS (alpha or dev build)?

Please have a look at this issue: https://nodejstools.codeplex.com/workitem/541

In particular, some people got it fixed by installing Update 4, and someone else mentioned a problem with package.json
